TImbertunnel Ltd is a small business based in Skerray in the Scottish Highlands. Al built a Timbertunnel on their croft in 2022 and got such a positive response on social media and from friends that we decided to start a business making and selling Timbertunnels.
We’re passionate about sustainable materials, land use, food sovreignity and everything in-between and so the desire to bring TImbertunnels to Scotland and further afield stems from wanting to provide a sustainably built growing space that is purpose made for the Scottish wild climate. We want more people to be growing healthy food year round in Scotland and hope that Timbertunnels can play their part in this.
Meet the Team
Al
Al is a woodland crofter and carpenter living in Skerray on the north coast. Al designed the Timbertunnel and built one on their croft in 2022.
Ike
Ike is a crofter in Armadale on the north coast, and has been working with Al as a carpenter for 4 years, becoming a director of Timbertunnel in 2025.
